Students are provided with a basic understanding of policies and practices in personnel administration in organizations, such as job analysis, selection of employees, placement, training, compensation and benefits, employee services, and labor relations. In addition, emphasis is placed on the role that human resources has in the strategic planning and implementation process in an organization. Prerequisite: BLA 406
