MUS 132 Jazz Appreciation
An introductory course in music that explores the history and tradition of American jazz music. Areas of focus in this listening-based course include the characteristics of jazz music, significant jazz performers and significant jazz compositions. Special attention will paid to the African-American and Creole roots of jazz to present a multicultural viewpoint of the art form.
