SOC SOC 310 Sociology of the Body
Bodies are analyzed as socially situated. Examination of ways bodies are socially, culturally, and historically constructed. Assessment of social structures impact on social perceptions of bodies. Discussion of ways that bodies are experienced and used in expression of self-identity.
