REL 335 Religions of America
An introduction to the history, themes, and issues in American religion from the pre-colonial period to the present. The principal religious traditions and movements that have shaped American culture are examined, including Native American and African-American traditions. Protestantism, Catholicism, and Judaism. Newer religious movements along with non-Christian groups and the religious traditions of immigrants and ethnic populations, are also studied.
