FIN 540 Finance Management & Theory
This course covers the theory and practice of financial decision making. Managers must be aware of the processes necessary to maximize shareholder wealth, as well as the need to balance risk and return tradeoffs. The valuation of stocks and bonds as well as the evaluation of choices among sources of capital and capital structures, dividend policy, expansion project selection, the use of derivative securities to manage risk, firm valuation, and short-term cash management are also covered.
