ART 245 Design Thinking

Design thinking is an iterative problem-solving process of discovery, ideations, and experimentation that employs various design-based techniques to gain insight and produce innovative user centered design solutions. Throughout the course, students will develop skills as visual thinkers, strategists, service designers, and storytellers through different ideas and practices, case studies, discussions, and collaborative projects. This is an innovation process centered around understanding the specific needs of clients through searching and understanding the users pain points/problems in prototyping potential solutions. We will observe, describe, analyze and interpret visual and communication design production in this course.
