CIS 442 Network Security

Students will study models and protocols essential to securing wired and wireless networks will be covered. Students will also learn to capture and analyze network traffic, identify network security threats, and apply and evaluate network security controls. Additionally, the course covers mobile devices and cloud security. A study of the fundamental concepts of computer security and its implementation. The aim is to assess and mitigate risk, evaluate, and select appropriate technologies, and apply proper security safeguards.
