MGT 355 Healthcare Law

Describes and examines the legal environments for profit and nonprofit settings, including health maintenance organizations (HMOs), hospitals, long-term care institutions, and free-standing ambulatory care centers. Analyzes the legal contours that affect third party insurers, Medicare, Medicaid and diagnosis-related groups, as well as what managers need to know about federal and state responsibilities.
