BIO 207 Fundamentals of Ecology/Biodiversity
Central tenets of evolution and macroevolution, systematics, species concepts, basic ecology and cycles, Mendelian genetics, basic phylogenetics, and overview of prokaryotes and eukaryotes including bacteria, archaea, plants, fungi, algae, invertebrates, and chordates; fundamental concepts of developmental biology. Primarily for majors in EEOB, ESE, Zoo Sciences, and General Biology; other biology majors may take courses as an elective. Three hours of lecture plus a two-hour active study component per week.
