THE 300 History of the Theatre I
A study of the development of theater history from antiquity through the English Renaissance, including a section on non-Western theatre traditions. Emphasis is placed on the examination of theatre as a cultural, social, political, and religious barometer of the times. Representative plays, practitioners, and practices will be examined.
