Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) facilities are located in the basement of the East Wing Main Hall. Offices for Network Administration, ITS Help Desk are housed here.  The Help Desk is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4 PM.
Students are provided an email address and, upon request of ITS, licensing for the Microsoft Office products.  Help Desk requests can be submitted through a ticket system that can be accessed at https://westliberty.edu/go-wlu/ on the “IT HELPDESK” link.  Sakai Help can be accessed on the same page via the “
SAKAI Help” link.  The Help Desk is also available to assist with student owned computers at no charge for diagnostics and remediation.  Costs for broken or damaged computers are a student responsibility.
A secure wireless network is also available for students, staff and faculty in academic and administrative buildings and outdoor areas of the main campus. It can only be accessed by authorized University users and is named “WLU-WiFi”.  The Highlands Center employs the same wireless configuration for classrooms and administrative offices.  IT Services also maintains an “open” WIFI network for guests (“WLU-Guest”).
IT Services maintains the campus data network. Residence Halls have COMCAST high-speed internet WiFi and digital TV services.  All support for Residence Hall wireless networks and TV services must be requested through Comcast at 855-638-2855.
