MGT 580 Principles of Project Management

This introductory course is designed to provide students with an overview of the key concepts, methodologies, and tools essential for successful project execution. This course covers the fundamental principles of project management, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Students will gain practical knowledge in resource allocation, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.

Emphasis will be placed on utilizing industry-standard frameworks such as PMI's PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) and Agile methodologies, equipping students with the foundational skills required to initiate, plan, and execute projects across various industries.
