MATH 102 Nature of Mathematics
A course using mathematics to expose the underlying structure of problems from common experience. Topics include linear, exponential, and logarithmic functions as they apply to real world situations. Additional topics per interest of faculty and students may include: logic, annuities and amortization, probability, graph theory, voting theory, geometry, and methods of apportionment.
Prerequisite
Math ACT score of 19 or Math SAT score of 510 for the 3-credit hour version of the course; no prerequisite for the 5-credit hour version.
