BIO 566 Advanced Field Ornithology

This course explores the avifauna of North America, north of Mexico, and the field techniques necessary to study these animals. Groups emphasized include passerines, near-passerines, and raptors. Field techniques covered include mist-netting, banding, bal-chatri trapping, and auditory identification.
