Introduction to the use of digital processes and tools used to communicate concepts visually; hands-on instruction with the operating system and software interface; theory and best practices for editing and creating effective visual digital work; instruction in the proper use of industry-leading raster, vector, and publication software; introduction to the use of storage devices, graphics tablets, and printers. Emphasis is on implementing digital tools to communicate visually at a fundamental level.
