BIO 436 Medical Microbiology

An in-depth survey of bacterial, fungal, protozoal, helminthic, and viral human pathogens. Course includes study of selected bacterial virulence factors, infection cycles, the host immune response, and the clinical manifestations, epidemiology, and identifying characteristics of pathogens and opportunistic microorganisms.
