CAT 403 Creative Arts Therapy Internship

The Creative Arts Therapy internship offers students experiential learning through supervised observation and participation in creative and community settings that use the arts to support personal growth, learning, and well-being. Students will observe creative arts therapy facilitators and related professionals in action, gaining insight into how the arts foster connection, communication, and resilience across diverse populations. Through observation journals, reflective discussions, and integrative projects, students will link classroom concepts to real-world practice. Emphasis is placed on developing professional awareness, reflective skills, and an understanding of how creative arts therapy experiences can contribute to wellness and community engagement.
