COM 418 Broadcast Performance
This course develops core communication skills for television, radio, and contemporary media platforms. Students strengthen verbal and non-verbal communication through diction, pacing, interpretation, and physical presence. Emphasis is placed on live and recorded performance, including scripted teleprompter delivery and off-script presentation. Students write and edit broadcast news stories, select and arrange content for newscasts, and complete field package reports that integrate writing, reporting, narration, editing, and delivery for traditional broadcast and emerging digital media.
