MATH 102 Nature of Mathematics

This course uses mathematics to expose the underlying structure of problems from common experience. Selected topics will be chosen from the following: voting theory, methods of fair division, methods of apportionment, graph theory, linear and exponential growth/decay models, financial mathematics, logic, probability and statistics, and geometry. Topics may vary from semester to semester.
