Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) facilities are in the basement of the East Wing,
Main Hall and contain offices for Network Administration and IT Help Desk. Help Desk
services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4 PM.
All students are provided with an email address and licensing for Microsoft Office
products including: 

 Word  Excel  PowerPoint
 OneNote  OneDrive  Teams


Help Desk requests can be submitted through a ticket system that can be accessed
at https://westliberty.edu/go-wlu/ on the “HELPDESK” link. Tickets can be created for
IT, LMS, or the Registrar for DegreeWorks issues.
The Help Desk is also available to assist with student-owned computers at no charge
for diagnostics and remediation.  Costs for broken or damaged computer parts are the
responsibility of the student.
Secure wireless networking is available for all students, staff and faculty in academic
and administrative buildings and outdoor areas of main campus. It can only be
accessed by authorized University users and is named “WLU-WiFi”.  IT Services also
maintains an “open/unsecured” Wi-Fi network for guests (“WLU-Guest”).
IT Services maintains the campus data network. Residence Halls have high-speed
internet access via Wi-Fi and streaming TV services provided by Boldyn Networks.  All
support for on campus residence hall wireless networks and TV services must be
requested through Boldyn Networks by calling 866-333-4414 or via webchat at
https://westliberty.apogee.us/.
The apartment style residences across the street on Rt 88 (Topper Village, University
Place 1 & 2) have Wi-Fi access and cable TV supplied by Comcast. Issues with that
service should be reported to Comcast by calling 855-638-2855
