Creative Arts Therapy (B.A.)
Students in the Creative Arts Therapy (CAT) major learn how creativity and art are used as a therapeutic tool for both personal and professional growth. Students engage in a variety of experiential opportunities including studio arts, service learning, and on-campus and community activities. Students can apply the concepts and principles of therapeutic practice working with diverse populations as arts facilitators, mental health support staff, activities professionals, or entrepreneurs in a variety of settings. Students are also prepared for admission into the graduate Art Therapy and Counseling program if they want to pursue credentialing as an art therapist (ATR) and/or as a licensed counselor (LPC or LMHC).
