Music Minor

New: The Music Minor gives students the opportunity to gain credit for completing a core set of music classes, taking applied lessons, participating in ensembles, and enrolling in electives in their area(s) of interest.

Requirements

Required Core Courses

MUS 102	Musicianship	2
MUS 103	Ear Training I	2
MUS 113	Music Theory I	2

Applied Music Lessons

2 credits of Applied Music lessons (MUS 100, 200, or 400) are required for the Minor.

Ensembles

2 credits of Ensembles are required. Examples include but are not limited to Choir, Band, Steel Band, World Music, Electronic Music Ensemble, Opera Workshop, etc.

Electives

6 credits of electives are required. Any MUS courses, including Applied Lessons and Ensembles, count as electives.
