BIO 522 Graduate Phylogenetics
This course will explore the principles of phylogenetics and require the application of phylogenetic methods. Phylogenetic trees will be constructed and interpreted within a modern evolutionary biology context. Topics and course activities include development of evolutionary theory, development of ‘tree-thinking’ skills, and utilization of multiple programs and publicly available sequence data to provide hands-on gene and species tree inference experiences.
