Pre-Professional Health - Chemistry Prerequisites post-baccalaureate certificate
The Pre-Professional Health - Chemistry Prerequisites post-baccalaureate certificate at West Liberty University is one in a series of three certificate programs (Biology, Chemistry Prerequisites, and Math, Physics, and Behavioral Prerequisites) designed to provide required prerequisites and dedicated preparation for professional entrance exams for individuals seeking a career change to a four-year professional health degree (M.D., D.O., D.V.M., D.D.S., Optometry, Pharmacy). The series of three certificates can be completed over four semesters of study. The Pre-Professional Health - Chemistry Prerequisites post-baccalaureate certificate focuses on chemistry prerequisites to ease transition into a professional health program.
Applicants for the Pre-Professional Health - Chemistry Prerequisites post-baccalaureate certificate must already hold a BA or BS degree in any field of study from an accredited 4-year institution of higher education. Professional programs often have a time limit for prerequisite coursework; if courses from the applicant’s prior degree exceed the time limit, those courses can be added into the post-bacc curriculum. The applicant is responsible for determining the time limit on prerequisite coursework.
