Creative Arts Therapy (B.A.)
The American Art Therapy Association defines Art Therapy as, “the therapeutic use of art making, within a professional relationship, by people who experience illness, trauma or challenges in living, and by people who seek personal development.” The student who completes the baccalaureate program is prepared for admission into a graduate level Art Therapy and Counseling program and is able to apply the concepts and principles of art therapeutic practice working with individuals, families, groups, in mental health, and medical facilities but not limited to these populations.
